"We would like to inform students and faculty of an exciting fellowship opportunity for seniors, graduate students, and recent alumni to spend one year in Germany: the 2020-2021 German Chancellor Fellowship for Tomorrow’s Leaders! Fellows in all disciplines receive full support from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation to carry out the project of their choice with the host of their choice, under the patronage of the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The German Chancellor Fellowship is targeted at university graduates from Brazil, China, India, Russia and the USA, who have already acquired initial leadership experience. The fellowship is open to all disciplines, as long as the project has a positive long-term impact. Participants must have received a Bachelor’s degree within twelve years of the program start date (October 1 of the following year). Prior knowledge of German is not required and German language courses are offered prior to the fellowship. Deadline information: Applications opened on March 16 and will close on September 15. Due to the time-intensive nature of the application, students are encouraged to begin securing host affiliations as early as possible.
