EXTENDED! JWAC Photo Contest 2020!

Hey everyone! Council staff are gearing up for a summer full of virtual programming just for you. We've decided to host a photo contest this summer!

Theme: "Global Citizen"


Who’s eligible to participate: All 9th-12th grade students that were a part of their school’s Junior World Affairs Council club during the 2019-2020 academic year are eligible to participate in this photo contest.

NOTE: We must receive at least 10 contest entries before we can judge the contest. No prize will be awarded if we have less than 10 entries by July 31st.


  1. The student that submits the photo as their own MUST BE the student that took the photo.

  2. Only one photo per student may be submitted.

  3. Photos may have been taken at any time.

  4. All photos must be submitted as a jpeg, but the content of the photo is up to you! Photos can include people, landscapes, buildings, objects, signs, and more! We welcome creativity!

  5. No profanity or pornographic content will be tolerated. Any submissions containing content of that nature will be eliminated from the contest.


  1. All submissions must be emailed to cfangman@dfwworld.org by July 31st, 2020 at 11:59pm CST. The winner will receive a $100 Amazon gift card.

  2. All submissions must include the photo in jpeg format and a completed form, downloadable at the link below.

  3. All eligible submissions will be featured on the Global Young Leaders blog post-contest (www.gylblog.org). First names and school name will be featured along with your photo. If you would like to make your submission anonymous, please include the following statement in your submission email: “I do not want my name or school on www.gylblog.org.”
