SMU Virtual Conference: Human Rights & Data Science

Join SMU's Data Science Institute & Human Rights Program for a symposium at the intersection of data science and social justice.

The SMU Data Science Institute, in collaboration with the SMU Human Rights Program, is honored to present an interdisciplinary examination of human rights challenges and triumphs through the lens of data science. Participants are encouraged to register for both afternoon sessions, but may also register for a single conference day.

The conference features leading voices from The Human Rights Data Analysis Group, Deason Criminal Justice Reform Center, DataKind, and Carnegie Melon's Center for Human Rights Science, along with a diverse cadre of university researchers addressing issues like human trafficking and incarceration via the data sciences.
