Young Leaders, Strong City (YLSC) was founded in 2014 to create a space for high school students to have conversations about race. Since its founding, YLSC has worked with over 1,300 students from across DFW to have conversations about race. YLSC's mission is to equip a network of students, educators, and their adult allies with tools to analyze, advocate, and dismantle systemic racism and inequities in themselves, their schools and communities. Originally founded through the efforts of several local leaders and organizations, YLSC, is in its sixth year of programming, housed at The Imagining Freedom Institute, LLC.
